Come join us for some creative fund and learn to SEW! Learn sewing machine essentials, hand sewing, reading patterns, cutting fabric and the fun of putting it all together. Get started with sewing lessons and learn a lifetime skill. We are located in Welland and students come from all parts of the Niagara Region.

Sewing opens up new doors to the world of self expression and creation and provides a powerful lifelong skill that can be passed on for generations to com.

Sewing should be fund and we make students feel comfortable expressing creativity. They will meet new friends and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Class size is kept small (4 to 6 students), ensuring plenty of room and personal attention for each student. All projects are completed in class time.

Kids Can Sew Workbook/Patterns are required ($65) and are included in the price of new student registration. I actually pay more than $65 with tax and shipping and duty, so this is a cost savings to you.
*Per copyright laws, every student is required to have their own workbook/patterns. Sorry, no sharing!

There is a registration fee of $20 for each NEW student. This fee goes towards the students organizing binder (yours to keep), handouts, practice sheets, sewing tools, equipment maintenance and bulk supplies (Thread, pins/needles, Swedish tracing paper, notions, etc.) Returning Student registration fee is $10 for each session

Tuition/Registration Fee includes use of studio sewing machines, sewing tools and some notions. I supply most thread, some fiberfill, felt, interfacing, applique paper, Swedish tracing paper, marking pens, chalk, basting glue, scrap fabric for projects, etc.

Students are responsible for supplying their own fabric for projects and some notions (elastic, cording, etc) Nobody wants ME picking out their pajama pants fabric. :) Students love the opportunity to select their own project fabric.

Level 2 Sewing Lesson Book & Patterns

The patterns included in PART 2 are a drop sleeve sweatshirt, fitted and oversize raglan sleeve T-shirts, an optional peasant blouse with long or short sleeves, both stretch and non-stretch pants, shorts, capri's and board shorts. The students will choose which options they want on each garment (i.e. ribbing or hem, drawstring or elastic, patch pockets, cargo pockets or both, etc.) and make the finished product truly their own. The techniques covered are ribbing, twin needle and straight stretch stitch hemming, hoods, drawstrings, slits, patch pockets, kangaroo pockets and optional cargo pockets with flaps. PART 2 is written in simple language with an expanded glossary to include sewing terms from PART 1 and 2. Because the techniques are separated out into their own section, this book becomes an excellent reference book.
